Ps 37:8 Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper–it only leads to harm.
Emotions can be hard to understand, dealing with them, even harder. Anger is very destructive and can reveal a lack of faith that God loves us and is in control. When you focus attention on anger, it grows and festers into rage.
At this point, you are not only putting your life in danger by harming your health, but also putting your heavenly reward in jeopardy. Many health problems are associated with anger such as headaches, digestive issues, insomnia, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, heart attack and stroke. Unresolved anger can lead to bitterness, and when we have unforgiven sin of any kind it blocks communion with God. Once our communication and relationship with God is blocked we no longer have his protection and grace against harm.
If you concentrate on God and his goodness the situation that caused the anger becomes smaller and smaller. When the problem is so small look beyond it and see the peace of the Lord. It is bigger than any problem on earth.
