Born in 1933 in West Virginia, Betty Halstead Moss, relocated with her family in 1948 to South Texas where she received her education and spent the early years of her life. Married to her high school sweetheart for 58 years until his death in 2010, she reared three daughters and has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Writing has been her passion for most of her life, although she chose to actively pursue the profession after retiring.
Betty has written twenty books including historical fiction novels, an autobiography, books of poetry, an Anthology of short stories and fiction children’s books. Many of her works are available on Amazon. Her next book Watching the Grass Grow will be a compilation of blog articles.
She has extensive knowledge of self-publishing using Amazon’s Createspace publishing platform, both printed and Kindle formats, including Cover Creator and Kid Creator. authors have benefited from her experience with editing and layout as well as skill in producing graphic illustrations for books, advertising, and websites.
Active in the literary community for many years in McDonough, Georgia Betty served terms as President, Vice-President, and Treasurer for The Heritage Writers Group where she assisted in the production and publishing of The Heritage Review Magazine, and Different Voices Anthology. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Arts Alliance of Henry County as a representative of The Heritage Writers Group.
