Phyllis Jason

Phyllis Jason is a professional storyteller a.k.a know as Mama SaBa (meaning mother of seven in Swahili. She is the mother of five sons and two daughters). African Folk tales and character-based stories, many penned by Phyllis, are her specialty.  She has shared her gift of stories for more than 27 years in Louisiana and Japan.

Phyllis is a former columnist and feature writer for the Times Picayune Newspaper. She currently creates and facilitates professional and development workshops. She is also a certified Life Skills Facilitator for elementary through entry-level college students.

She prefers writing children’s literature, poetry, and Christian fiction and hopes to publish her writings.
