Writing to Honor God

"Those who honor me I will honor" 2 Samuel 2:30

Tim is writing a dystopian novel set in Year Five of the Unified Era … or A.D. 2040 “if you’re not a good citizen.”  Biblical Christianity has been marked for extinction and most of its despised, unemployable adherents are relocating to remote settlements rather than relinquish their faith.  The story takes the form of an illegal diary kept at a time when paper, one of the last vestiges of privacy, has been abolished.  The diarist is an operative of the all-powerful Unified Government sent to infiltrate—and then betray—a particularly troublesome group of believers living in a compound they refer to as “The Refuge.”  Suspecting that his mission is a prelude to unspeakable violence, the lonely diarist gives vent to his doubts about the UG, his impressions of the abandoned faith of his childhood and his all-consuming love for the woman who gave him “The Paper Diary.”
