By Chaplain Eddie Burchfield
In the scriptures we find-
Christians are to be one of a kind;
Not living scared of Satan or sin –
We have been set apart, Born Again;
Fear can be an Idol
Fear can be a lie –
Fear can make a big man
Hang his head and cry;
David said in Psalms 27:1
The Lord is my light, whom shall I fear –
When we believe God’s word
It builds our faith, and to God we draw near;
Yes it’s faith over fear
Not the other way around –
Because faith will build us up
And we can stand on solid ground;
Darkness has great power
But Jesus is the light –
Fear loses its hold on us
When we leave the darkness of the night;
Faith doesn’t have to be big
But it does have to be pure –
Having mustard seed size faith
Can help us all endure.
