Denna, Cherie
Cherie Denna’s mission is to encourage the outcast, rejected, and overlooked as God’s chosen and beloved. Rescued from a life of organized crime and outlaw biker gangs, Cherie’s story describes a modern-day The Cross and the Switchblade. The focus of her ministry is to offer hope and empower others who realize they do not belong in the life they are living.
She is confident we make the greatest impact in this world by adorning the dark shameful pages of our story with the light of Truth. Cherie believes while we write our personal stories, our goal is to aim our reader beyond ourselves, to the heart of the One to whom they belong. When she isn’t writing or speaking, Cherie enjoys coaching writers how to find their voice while guiding them through the courageous process of sharing their own hard stories.
Cherie’s upcoming debut book, Beloved Outcast: The Quest for True Belonging, is a work of creative nonfiction (Bold Vision Books, 2023). Other works include collaborations on anthologies, devotions, and articles, a well as a #1 Amazon best-seller called Leading Ladies: Discover Your God-Grown Strategy for Success. Cherie studied in the Jerry B Jenkins Christian Writers Guild Apprenticeship Program and is an active AWSA member (Advanced Writers and Speakers Association).
Chrie managed operations at a hybrid Christian publishing company. Prior to this, a successful career in Human Resources enriched her life. Cherie also founded The Justice Writer Group in 2013. This non-profit provides pro bono grant writing and administration services to other non-profits with a focus on fulfilling God’s justice.
The best place to find Cherie is on an ocean bluff along the Northern California coast, where inspiration captures her through writing and photography. Her purpose mate husband sweeps her away on regular adventures in their cabin on wheels. They have two beautiful daughters and look forward to family time with their grandson, Noah.
