Kolman, Ellen
Ellen Kolman has a passion for teaching children the love of Jesus. For more than 30 years, she has taught and entertained children in both church and Christian school settings. A former kindergarten and first grade teacher. She sought creative ways to help her students understand the concepts of kindness, empathy and forgiveness. This inspired her to write her first children’s book. It is called Seeds of Sunshine and was published by Christian Faith Publishing in 2022. Later, she wrote Sunshine Makes a Difference, published by Christian Faith Publishing in 2024. Ellen has also been published in four anthology books by Christian Writers For Life. She is a member of the Christian Writers For Life Student Group.
Her hobbies include performing with local theater groups, reading, and speaking at ladies events. Currently, Ellen teaches high school girl’s Bible and Literature in a Christian school. She also works with the teen girls at church. She has five beautiful adult children. She also has three sweet grandchildren and a cute little dog named Chip. Her husband is wonderful and very supportive of all of her endeavors.
