Jones, Charlie L.

Charlie L. Jones, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Charlie L. Jones was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and received both his bachelor’s degree in communications and his master’s degree in social work from The University of Alabama. He has over thirty years of experience in the mental health field, ranging from case manager to independent private practice. When counseling couples using a Christian modality to problem solving, he often incorporates photographs from nature as a therapeutic tool. The photographs have the “essence of faith.” They often have a calming effect and can facilitate points of mutual agreement. This therapeutic effect can be linked to Jesus’s teachings through parables involving nature, which he used to teach spiritual principles. God’s revelation of himself is revealed to man through his creation. The heavens earth declares the glory; and the firmament shows his handiwork. After “retirement” he returned to the field of social work as an outpatient drug treatment therapist. Charlie spends time gardening and studying the Word of God, and through prayer, meditation, and faith has found a sense of purpose. He has an exhibit of photographs from nature called “The Parables in Pictures Photograph Collection.” He enjoys writing and is the author of, “A Garden Love Story” subtitled, A Parable of The Faith Journey To Marriage and “Growing A Successful Marriage Through Faith,” subtitled Cultivating Your Marriage To Produce The Fruit of The Spirit which are both on Amazon.com.
