Melissa Buras is the author of Hustle, Heart & a Little Headstrong. She wrote her book for the mom who feels overwhelmed, unqualified, or unsure. The mom who wants to homeschool with intention but feels like she’s drowning in the day‑to‑day.
She is a former CEO turned part-time working homeschool mom, entrepreneur, and writer with a heart for encouraging others. After sixteen years in the corporate world and later transition into financial services, she sensed God calling her into a new season centered on home, family, and faith. What began as an unexpected shift during the 2020 pandemic grew into a life-changing calling, leading her to homeschool her children while running her transcription business, My Spoken Project, and sharing her experiences with parents navigating the beautiful, messy purpose-filled world of homeschooling, but most importantly, following God’s leading with courage–even when the path looks different than they imagined.
