If you enjoy writing and reading poetry like I do, what are your thoughts and intentions regarding the poems you write? Why do you write poetry? Is it for professional reasons or is it just a hobby? Either way, have you ever felt like publishing the poetry you write? If you do you are certainly not alone.
The first thing you need to decide on is your reason for wanting to publish your work and what do you wish to achieve from publishing your poetry? Here are some things to consider when choosing the right option of publishing for you: Do you want to share your work with friends and family as a hobby? Do you want to self-publish with the mind set to transition to traditional publishing? Do you just want to see your work in book format? Do you want to become a famous poet?
Reviewing these options will help you to determine the purpose for publishing your poetry.
