Traces, faces, memories past,
Nag at me, remind me that,
I’ve gone many miles, left trails of songs,
That never dies.
Slower still, I kinda feel
The rule of travel marks the miles
Thinking back, I look sad,
I wonder when my will life will end.
Chorus
Somebody out there, hear my music,
Cause I can’t anymore.
I don’t care when life’s not fair,
I’m headed home thru every tear.
Good Lord help me you are so near,
Always been friend of my soul
I’m going, leaving traces of my own,
So someone can follow my journey home.
Talk: Where we really belong
I don’t know why or what it means,
When God gives me songs like these
Cause the music’s gone, but the words live on
Traces, faces, memories, now empty places
Where I’ve traveled far in my memory car
I understand there is no man
Only God, who, holds, my hand.
Leading carrying me, I know not where.
Peace, be still is all I hear.
Trust I hope is all I know, all I had, I let go.
I’ll follow him, where he may lead
He bought and paid for me on his knees
Jesus died and rose and knows what each one of us needs
Repeat Chorus
