Jesus Wrap Song

By Barbara Jones

Don’t come, Don’t go
I don’t want you no’ mor
Say you will, but don’t still
Tired of waiting around so

I’m listening for the still small voice
The one who wants me to make a choice
He’s the only road to discover
Jesus, lover of souls, who never says never or whatever

Leave me alone! Stop leading me on
A waste of time and I know so
Enough of you, let me go
I choose Jesus, give him my soul

He loves me doesn’t use me
And I’m so tired of being led on
By all so-called friends, who turn on
Wears many masks, only they know

I’m tossing around in their mind games
Tossed around and you are to blame
No matter what, I’ve got to stop
Slow down, turn around, not go back

My soul is being pulled apart
I’m being tested by I know not what
Forward, backward take control
Lord, I have no other, to trust my soul

My heart was thrown down
Broke to pieces on the ground
You picked them up and made me whole
So, no, I’m telling all, who I know

Look, stop, listen my friend
Jesus is the only one whom
You’ve tried them all and they left you cold
They abused, used and then said “Go”

I had to use my free will
And go into the world until
No more roads to go down
I had to turn around, not make a sound

Here I am, there I was, so said my compass
I’m heading toward God’s bright light
So glad he patiently waited me out
They gave me a breakdown, but God never let me down

Jesus saved my life, many times, in the past
Said stop running, start walking to your last chance
He is and was and is to come
I’m talking to you, come on home

Don’t give up just give it all to him
You are something, your not nothing
He died for you and made you worthy
Took all that shame, now, do you want him

No need to hesitate and be tossed around
Trying to figure out, the how and what game
Facts are facts and lies are lies
Sin is sin, just come to him

There’s no reason, rhymes or schemes
I’ve been where you are afraid and screamed
What is real? Who is honest
Then in my head I saw the eyes of Jesus

There he is! Right where you are
Been sitting right by you in that car
Today’s the day the time is now
Don’t put him off, your light of life is going dim

Almost over, almost over,
One last chance, don’t say never
I’m walking back, can’t go no further
You need to cross over, walk to the Savior

Can’t blame me or say whatever
No Excuses, don’t blame the weather
He’s knocking on your heart, whosoever
