There are days when everything goes wrong,

And you need support from others to stay strong,

Please don’t worry, it’s all a part of life,

It’s the going through, the struggle and the strife,

Just don’t give up whatever you do,

Because you’re better than that, I’m telling you.

Now you may say what’s this better than that?

So let me explain as a matter of fact,

I’m sure most of you have felt this way,

When you don’t know what to do or say,

But it’s during these times that you must know,

What the better than this is so I’ll tell you so,

For it’s in these tough times we have feelings of despair,

That’s when knowing the better than that must be there.

It’s the power of knowing you have a prayer

The better than that will always help you through,

So don’t give up, look up, that’s what you must do.

You’ve got to know that you know that you know, it’s true,

It’s the thoughts known as the better than this that will save you.

You must know your worth, oh yes, from the start,

So, each and every time someone breaks your heart,

You will know that this too shall pass,

Your better than that feelings will kick in at last,

And save the day and may be save your life,

Don’t be afraid of any trouble, toil or strife,

That may come your way and yes, there will be some,

Just remember my friend, you are not the only one,

For there’s always a silver lining at the end,

If you trust in God, you’ll feel alive again,

And you’ll grow stronger, just trust what I say,

And stand guard for someone else is bound to feel the same way,

Then you’ll be able to help them make it through,

Yes, just like others did when they came to your rescue.

So, what’s this feeling, this better than that?

Well, it’s believing in yourself as a matter of fact.

It’s knowing that you are wonderfully made,

By God, yes, and through parents that prayed,

To help you as you moved along the way

To become the beautiful person, you are today.

So, the next time you feel oh so blue,

The next time you feel like your world is through

Please know that you are better than that,

And you’ll make it through the going through, yes and at,

The right time and in the right place that’s when you’ll be,

Strong because your better than that has become your reality.
